Desi Gould has been active in ministry throughout the Diocese of Cleveland since 2002, serving the youth groups of St. Charles Borromeo in Parma and St. Ambrose in Brunswick. After college, Desi worked as a social worker with Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services while attending school to earn a Masters in Counselor Education. For the past twelve years, she has worked in the mental health, college, and career counseling fields within Catholic education. She is most known for her recent role as the Assistant Director of College Counseling at St. Edward High School. During this time, Desi has served in many volunteer roles for the Diocese; however, she is always eager to share her love for Northcoast Spirit Teens Encounter Christ, one of the largest retreat programs offered in the Diocese where she served as a Chairperson. In addition, Desi and her husband Matt are passionate about sharing God's love for marriage and family and have worked with the Diocese of Cleveland vocations office in promoting true discernment, including co-hosting the podcast "Created and Called." Matt and Desi have three children, Maria (8), Joseph (7), and Basilio (1). They are proud members of Holy Trinity, always willing to serve and share their gifts. As many of you know, they have faced spiritual warfare and are more committed than ever to sharing their love of Christ.
As you can see, Desi has taken a proactive approach to her professional career and spiritual development. She is well-respected within the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and highly accomplished, always leading with faith and enthusiasm. After much prayer and discernment, Desi Gould has accepted the role of Director of Evangelization at Holy Trinity, where she will foster discipleship, promote ongoing faith formation, and share in the joys of our Catholic identity.
